Check out Sander Vandijks awesome AE plugin, Ouroboros, for animating multiple shapes on one layer. Yes I know, sounds like which-craft… it is.
Apart from it being a great plugin that saves hours of work, I love the interactive rollover demo on his site, if only all software came with this kind of manual. It would take the pain out of learning!
